It seems to depend on pressure and temperature. CO2 corrosion cannot be underestimated either.
When the medium is CO2, 0CR18NI9 can be used
For dry CO2, carbon steel material is sufficient; for moist or wet conditions, 304SS can be used
Neither CO2 nor carbonic acid causes severe corrosion on carbon steel; carbon steel is sufficient, and 304 is used for CO2 tanks in breweries.
For food-grade applications, stainless steel is used; for ordinary applications, carbon steel is sufficient. It is necessary to take into account the allowance for pitting corrosion (separate considerations are needed for dry CO2 and wet CO2, as there is a significant difference)
