How to charge and discharge a UPS battery?

How often should the UPS batteries of a DCS be charged and discharged? What is the procedure for doing this? Does it involve cutting off the power supply?
Under normal conditions, the battery should be charged and discharged every 3 to 6 months, and the charging time for a standard unit after discharge should be no less than 10 hours. Just disconnect the mains power during discharge.
Agreed, but our UPS is in hot standby mode; routine charge and discharge checks are carried out every three months or so as part of regular maintenance!
In our company, it’s usually done every three months, but the discharge level must not be less than 20% of the total battery capacity; if it goes below that, the battery will discharge very quickly. After discharging, it is generally charged for 8-10 hours.
