Without installing a flow regulator in the pipeline, must the installation requirements of 10 units in front of and 5 units behind the gas turbine flow meter be met? If the flow meter manufacturer states that a configuration of 2 in front and 1 behind is sufficient to ensure accuracy, is it then still necessary to meet the requirement of 10 in front and 5 behind?
A turbine flowmeter is a velocity-type flowmeter; the values of 10 in front and 5 at the back are applicable when the process conditions permit it, and if these values are slightly off, it will not affect the accuracy.
