Magnetic particle testing of container welds

The welds that are required to undergo magnetic particle testing need to be ground, and strict requirements are placed on their flatness. I wonder how others go about this? Many manufacturers don’t conduct magnetic particle testing; they just issue reports, right?
It’s hard to say that this won’t happen, but for the sake of one’s own company, it’s better to grind the welds and perform magnetic particle testing; if there are problems with the container, then grinding the welds won’t be enough!
