Is there specialized undergraduate education in storage and transportation in China? At those universities?
I’ve been to many places: Liaoning Petroleum University, Southwest Petroleum Institute (I’m not sure if its name has changed), Jiangsu University of Technology, and East China University of Science and Technology (which began admitting students in 2002)
Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation: Graduates of this major are primarily engaged in tasks related to the collection, transportation, storage, distribution, and metering of oil and gas. These tasks include general design, construction, installation, operation, regulation, maintenance, and management of oil and gas pipelines and transmission stations; 2. Engineering design, operation, maintenance, and management of gas stations ; 3. General design, operation, and management of gas systems ; 4. Measurement of oil and gas products in oil depots and gas storage facilities.
1. Basic knowledge: Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics; Basic Computer Knowledge ; Basic Mechanical Knowledge ; Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronic Engineering ; Basic English knowledge ; Fundamentals of Thermal Engineering ; Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics ; Knowledge of instrumentation and automation ; Basic knowledge of microcomputer principles and applications. 2. Professional knowledge: Oil and gas gathering and transportation ; Layout, design, and management of oil depots and pipelines ; Oil and gas product metering ; Gas transmission and distribution ; Construction management, principles and structure of pumps and fans ; Instrumentation and Automatic Control ; Knowledge of equipment installation and maintenance procedures ; Among them, oil and gas gathering and transportation, oil and gas product metering, and gas distribution are the main areas of knowledge. 3. Knowledge in the humanities and social sciences: Certain knowledge in areas such as politics, moral education, physical education, law, music, and aesthetic education within the humanities and social sciences.
Students upstairs, stop copying the teaching outlines of certain schools – different schools place emphasis on different things. There are many talents in storage and transportation in the storage and transportation areas.
The 4th floor belongs to that school. I also study oil and gas storage and transportation; I remember that among the basic courses there is Engineering Mechanics, which is a combination of Material Mechanics and Theoretical Mechanics. Thermodynamics refers to: engineering thermodynamics and heat transfer. Fundamentals of mechanics include: mechanical drawing and fundamentals of mechanical design. Other specialized courses include: pipeline optimization. That’s too general of a statement
I’d like to add those on the 2nd floor as well: Daqing Petroleum School, Jianghan Petroleum University, Beijing University of Petroleum, and Xi’an Petroleum University
There is no Beijing University of Petroleum; only China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and China University of Petroleum (East China)
Hehe, there’s a Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, which has some forms of cooperation with China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology as well! There is also a major in oil and gas storage and transportation, but there are no graduates yet! In terms of mechanics, it seems there is the aspect of oil storage
All petroleum universities offer this major, right?
There are schools with petroleum programs; it seems there’s also an Logistics Engineering Institute of the People’s Liberation Army!
All schools with oil have them! There seems to be a Logistics Engineering Institute of the People’s Liberation Army as well
