Dear experts, what do the materials indicated for gate valves – WC6-13Gr+STL – mean? What type of material is used for such valves? ? Thank you. Also, how is the sealing material for the valve matched with the valve itself? ? ? ?
Valve body material: WC6; valve stem: 13Cr; gate: STL (steel). The sealing material for valves shall be specified by the design; different sealing types and materials should be used depending on the various operating conditions. For example, gate valves commonly use polytetrafluoroethylene or graphite packing for stem sealing.
