There is severe leakage from the burner, combustion occurs below the inclined channel, the small flue is at high temperature, the exhaust gas tray gets red-hot, and thick black smoke often emerges from the chimney. If the leakage trend cannot be controlled in a short period of time, it will directly affect the main parts of the furnace, reducing its service life. In practice, we have developed an effective set of methods, which are mainly divided into three stages and three maintenance strategies. Phase 1: There was severe leakage from the burner, with frequent occurrences of abnormal high temperatures. For thermal repair, it is necessary to shift the focus of work to inspecting the condition of the furnace nozzles while they are in use; records should be kept to describe the approximate location, width, and severity of cracks in these nozzles. After compiling this information, the areas with severe damage can be repaired. Repair requirements: Large cracks need to be repaired, with efforts made to increase the area repaired within the allowed time frame in order to mitigate the trend of deterioration. Thermal repair can be carried out as a follow-up task. Phase 2: There is significant leakage at the burner tip, and leakage points are still common in the middle to late stages of coking. We check for leaks in the numbers of furnaces that were turned on the day after inspection, in order to determine which furnaces need repair. The combustion chambers are inspected without regard to whether their numbers are odd or even, and the location and size of any leaks are noted down. Repair requirements: Repair at designated locations to eliminate large leaks. Stage 3: By the late stage of coking, signs of leakage through the furnace walls disappear; the leakage is mild and not widespread, but black smoke appears in the chimney after coal is added. For this situation, we mainly use the method of observing leaks in the downward airflow to locate them. It is required that the locations of defects be indicated accurately, the summaries be clear, and the overall situation be easily understandable
