There is usually a noise reduction plate behind the oxygen vent valve, which is usually provided by the valve manufacturer, such as Flowserve or Samson.
The end of the oxygen vent line (the top of the gasifier) is always equipped with a silencer (muffler). I don’t know if it is necessary to install a noise reduction plate (even if it is provided by the valve factory) behind the vent valve. Please advise.
Personally, I think there should be more. The flow rate of oxygen venting is sometimes very large, and the pressure difference is also large (the orifice plate seems to be 0.8MPa) ； The noise is relatively loud, so a noise reduction board is still necessary. As for the problem of anti-baffle, I personally think it can be solved through the material of the valve.
