What is an anti-flange? What are the standards for execution? What is the relationship between area margin and heat exchanger area? Confused, thanks. Last edited by feihong622847 on 2009-3-26 20:11]
Someone is watching; why isn’t anyone helping me?
The counter-flange is the other component that is used in conjunction with the standard flange, so as to prevent difficulties in connecting the pipeline between the two flanges when their rotation directions are different.
I’ve never heard of anti-flange, but pipe flanges do exist; maybe the original poster got it wrong.
There are explanations on Baidu regarding anti-Flange; the area margin and the heat exchanger area should be parameters of the heat exchanger. Just read a book on heat exchangers to find out
In a regular flange, the flange ring is located on the outside of the tube or pipe being connected, while in an inverted flange, the flange ring is on the inside of the tube or pipe being connected.
\"Anti-flange\" is a colloquial term; in reality, it refers to a mating flange. There are errors in the fit dimensions during flange processing; therefore, when ordering equipment, it is advisable to request that the supplier provide matching flanges, so as to facilitate installation and proper connection.

I’m hearing about this for the first time; it’s really enlightening. That senior who knows about it, please share it with us
It can be simply considered as a mating flange
