The steam pressure entering the reactor is usually constant, as is the pressure of the feed material entering the lift pipe. During design, the nozzle type determines the pressure drop across the nozzle; a higher pressure before the nozzle implies a greater pressure drop, which is theoretically favorable for atomization and beneficial for the reaction. However, an excessively high pressure drop increases the load on the distillation process. Under normal circumstances, do not change the nozzle pressure.
