What is the maximum inclination angle that a raw coal conveyor belt can have?
Generally, the inclination angle of belts does not exceed 18 degrees; however, today belt conveyors with guard edges, commonly known as high-inclination belts, can achieve an inclination of 90 degrees.
Are there any relevant specification requirements for ordinary belts? Experience points again? Or different requirements apply depending on the material.
18° is a design specification rather than an empirical value
According to existing technology, it can be done at any angle; the difference lies in the method used. Generally, belts have an angle of less than 18 degrees, tubular belts have an angle of less than 90 degrees, while belts for large inclination angles can reach 90 degrees.

The range of 18 degrees to 22 degrees mentioned by everyone is a general design standard; it is actually determined with reference to the angle of repose of coal. For anthracite with a density of 0.7–1.0 (dry), the angle of repose for its movement is between 27 degrees and 30 degrees.
For ordinary belts, the general inclination angle does not exceed 18 degrees, mainly due to the influence of the particle size of the materials being transported.
