In the continuous distillation of methanol using two columns, heavy components emerge from the top of the first column – how should this be dealt with?
Reduce steam? Add feed to lower the tower temperature, and add some extraction water
Reduce the steam volume, lower the temperature, increase reflux, and decrease recovery.
Reduce the amount of heating steam to lower the temperature immediately, and at the same time increase the reflux rate… This problem must be due to negligence on the part of the operators……
Returning the flow and reducing steam – does that mean lowering the temperature inside the tower as a whole? :victory:
Reduce the steam volume, and at the same time add some extraction water to the reflux tank in order to increase the boiling point difference between methanol and the organic fraction
Reduce steam, increase water feed, enable reflux, and properly control the liquid level at the bottom of the tower
