Qi Tongseng and Zhao Xiaoping, leaders of the autonomous region, along with officials in charge of relevant departments in the region, accompanied them on the inspection. The research team conducted on-site inspections to learn about the operation of the 600,000-kilowatt coal-fired air-cooled generator set in the first phase of HuanDian Lingwu Power Generation Company, as well as the construction progress of the 1 million-kilowatt air-cooled generator set project in the second phase. They also inspected the production lines for 250,000 tons per year of coal-based methanol and the facilities for 520,000 tons per year of coal-based olefins operated by Shenhua Ningxia Coal Group. The team received reports from the Autonomous Region’s Development and Reform Commission, the Ningdong Office, Wuzhong City, HuanDian Ningxia Branch, and Ningxia Coal Group regarding the development of Ningxia’s energy industry. During the investigations and discussions, Sun Qin said that Ningxia has a clear approach, definite goals, and significant achievements in the development of its energy industry. In particular, the development and construction of the Ningdong base have reached a significant scale. Major projects under construction are progressing rapidly, preliminary work for these projects is being carried out actively, ecological restoration efforts have yielded notable results, infrastructure is continually improving, and the management of coal resources is becoming more standardized. All these factors have laid the foundation for building a first-class energy hub at a high standard. He said that the **Energy Bureau will assist Ningxia in making plans, and by focusing on large-scale bases, large enterprises, and efficient transportation networks, it will promote the development of coal bases and power generation facilities in Ningxia, continuing to support its growth as before.
