When using PRO/II to simulate the pyrolysis gas separation process, the overhead gas from the deethanizer enters a C2 hydrogenation reactor for reaction, while the overhead gas from the debutanizer enters a C3 hydrogenation reactor. What type of reactor should be chosen? I read the English explanation provided by the software, but I still don’t understand it. a. Conversion Reactor, b. Equilibrium Reactor, c. Plug Flow Reactor, d. CSTR, e. Gibbs Reactor, f. Polymer Reactor. Could anyone help me answer these? In particular, I would appreciate some guidance on the differences in their applications. It depends on whether you are designing or calculating; it should be specified more precisely. For example, if it’s for calculation, then a conversion reactor can be used, as the conversion rate is known; designing it would be much more complicated, and I haven’t done any work related to this
Generally speaking, using PROII for reactor design is a bit inadequate; more specialized software is necessary in such cases.
