Personally, I think that such thank-you posts should generally be deleted as per the rules. My understanding of deleting thank-you posts is that they contain simple content or no actual content at all, and they interfere with normal discussions in the main thread; I think it’s sufficient to delete them and add a reason for doing so. I’m not against deducting points – it’s just that things aren’t easy for everyone. Although points can be earned quite easily these days, the deductions aren’t heavy either, but it still feels bad.
Normally, I won’t easily deduct points from members’ accounts~ If something needs to be deleted, it can just be deleted directly. But this moderator is also acting in accordance with the forum rules~
Actually, members deserve to be thanked; you can definitely give a rating and include a message of thanks in the review! To be a moderator, one needs to be tolerant; there’s no need to treat members with poor behavior on an equal footing! This post was last edited by shuchang on 2009-3-27 16:55]

The last member from “Mites Import Bearings” is a new member; they may not be very familiar with the rules, so it’s better to focus on educating them rather than deducting many points. This post was last edited by ludinggi on 2009-3-27 21:03]
