After downloading AutoCAD 2008 from the Internet, I found that it was in ISO format. After extracting it, I couldn’t install it – an error message kept appearing, stating that there was no access permission! This problem has happened to many of my colleagues. The solution to this problem is: 1. Do not unzip the file after downloading it; 2. Search on the website for “virtual drive” and select DAEMON Tools. After downloading, simply load the CAD installation file into DAEMON Tools! Note: During installation, a prompt will appear to insert the next disk; simply insert the downloaded CD2 file at that time, and the installation will be completed. I just installed CAD 2008; it’s not that complicated and it works well
ISO is a file for virtual optical drives and should not be extracted
I hear that the 2008 model is quite good; I’m using a 2006 model. I’ll download it and give it a try
ISO is originally an image file, so it can be installed directly using a virtual optical drive. The original poster is absolutely right.
