Ours is very low, at 0.045–0.075 MPa. Our synthesis tower is a 6-meter Lurgi type; in any case, regardless of the type of tower, if the total pressure difference exceeds 0.8 MPa, it’s necessary to replace the catalyst or take other measures.
Not necessarily; our synthesis tower is performing very well right now! The pressure difference should be maintained at 0.08–0.09 Mpa; it depends on whether carbon supplementation measures are employed in the process. If such measures are taken, the value might return to 0.11 Mpa, which is quite normal. To determine whether the catalyst has become inactive, temperature is an important indicator – after all, temperature is the best basis for making such judgments. Of course, conversion rate is also relevant! !
The pressure difference in the synthesis tower is 0.2 MPa at the beginning of operation; it gradually increases over time. When it exceeds 0.4 MPa, it becomes a matter of concern. Each start-up and shutdown causes changes in this pressure difference, and the reduction in pressure must be done slowly – the rate of pressure release should not be too fast.
