Orifice plates generally have flange pressure tapping, pitch pressure tapping, and corner joint pressure tapping. Could someone experienced explain the differences between these and the methods for selecting the appropriate type?
1. Flange pressure tapping refers to the standard orifice plate flange pressure tapping method; the distance between the centers of the pressure tapping holes on the upstream and downstream sides, as well as the distance from these holes to the front and rear surfaces of the orifice plate, is (25.4±0.8) mm. This is also known as 1-inch flange pressure tapping. 2. Corner connection pressure tapping: The distance from the center of each pressure tapping hole on the upstream and downstream sides to the front and rear surfaces of the orifice plate is equal to half the diameter of those pressure tapping holes; If pressure measurement is taken at the annular chamber, it should be equal to half of the annular gap. 3. It is recommended to use flange-based pressure tapping; it does not leak compared to ring chambers, and it is easier to maintain and replace. Ring chambers should be used as little as possible
