Is it a catalytic device? There are fewer aromatics and isomeric hydrocarbons in the product.
By adding MTBE or ETBE, the octane rating is restored.
With blended MTBE, you can achieve any octane rating you want; over 100 is no problem at all!
MTBE has been banned in some countries in Europe and America; while it can increase the octane rating, it easily causes other parameters to exceed acceptable levels.
The properties of the raw material have deteriorated; either the aromatic potential content or the reforming index of the raw material has decreased! The content of aromatics in the resulting product is reduced; since aromatics have a high octane rating, the octane rating of the product decreases as a result. .
Add methyl/ethyl tert-butyl ether to increase octane rating. .
