Our operation technicians (originally called operations engineers) can only fill in when there is a shortage, and record data at other times. It’s not that they are not allowed to play a role, but their abilities are really limited. Some are technicians through connections, and some are employees’ children who are not majoring in chemical engineering. I worry about these people. As the saying goes, their names are not right, their words are not smooth, and they can’t figure out whether this is a management position or an operation position.
