Although the Shell powder coal gasification unit belongs to the second-generation clean coal gasification technology, and its initial design concept was aimed at achieving zero pollution and zero emissions, in actual operation in China, these units do not manage to achieve the emission levels intended in their original design. Please help by sharing your ideas on how to minimize the amount of wastewater discharged from Shell powder coal gasification units
As long as the preliminary water treatment unit No. 17 and the environmental protection unit No. 37 are operating properly, then there will be no problems; our factory will be functioning well. Unit 37 features advanced fully imported membrane treatment technology
17 The preliminary water treatment unit has a reasonable design and stable operation.
It is closely related to the gasification conditions; if the coal powder does not react completely, there is a large amount of suspended carbon in the slag water, the load on the sedimentation tank in unit 17 becomes too high, and the clarified liquid cannot be reused as washing water, so it has to be discharged. Our factory has experienced problems where dirty wash water caused blockages in the meters.
