Today we took the remote float level gauge apart completely, removed the float inside it, and after reassembling it it was still showing the full scale. Is it possible to adjust this using a handheld controller? What is the problem here? Did we raise the float? . . But we made marks when we installed it. . Under what circumstances does this phenomenon occur? .

The zero point can be adjusted first; it doesn’t need to be extremely accurate, any value will do. Then, observe the changes when the medium is introduced. If there is a change in the output, it’s a matter of adjustment; if no change occurs, then check whether there is a problem with the transmitter.
Float level gauges need to be calibrated after installation; without calibration, it is difficult to ensure accurate measurements.
I feel that during calibration, it’s necessary to follow the procedures for installation first; when opening the valve, one should pay attention to hearing whether liquid is flowing in. Then, the transmitter should be checked based on the actual liquid level. An on-site inspection is required – if something is incorrect (such as the transmitter being at full scale), it’s best to replace it with a spare transmitter and check whether the readings are correct. If the readings are still incorrect, it might be due to some issue with the float itself; if the readings are correct, then the problem lies with the transmitter. It’s also necessary to create the appropriate testing conditions. If no faults can be found, then the only option is to contact the manufacturer. If the field transmitter indicates correctly, then it is necessary to consider whether there is a problem with the remote transmission part
It depends on which manufacturer’s float you have; different manufacturers use different designs. Some use torsion tubes, while others rely on the lever principle. In either case, the displacement is very small. Even if you make marks during disassembly and assembly, the precision may still not be sufficient. Furthermore, you can check whether the float is stuck when reassembling it. . .
If it can be confirmed that there are no issues with the installation in each section, check whether the parameter settings of the float are still the same as before (the weight, length, volume of the float, the density of the medium, the length of the torsion tube, etc.). Then perform dry coupling and calibrate using the two-point method, and that’s it.
