All other operating parameters of the EDI are normal; what is the cause of the high concentrated water pressure?

As the pressure of the concentrated water increases, the operating voltage also rises, which indicates that scaling may be present in the concentrated water chamber. The EDI user manual usually advises performing acid cleaning; however, this is a troublesome process. Here I’ll share a trick with you: simply reverse the connections of the positive (red wire) and negative (black wire) terminals of the power supply for the EDI membrane module, then start it up. It’s important to note that the operating time should not exceed one hour, as the positive electrode of the EDI membrane module is made of titanium alloy, while the negative electrode is made of stainless steel. When the poles are reversed, the stainless steel plate becomes the positive electrode, and its corrosion resistance is poor. This is the principle behind EDR.
Use acid cleaning, and control the alkalinity and hardness of the water so that they are not too high.
