Currently, vortex flowmeters are increasingly being used to replace some throttle devices. Compared to throttle devices, the advantages of vortex flowmeters are that they do not require pressure guiding tubes, are easy to install, and do not pose any issues related to heat tracing. The main problem is that maintenance cannot be carried out online in the event of a failure, but this issue is easily resolved by using vortex flow meters that can be plugged in and removed online.
