After sealing the tower, it was opened and checked that the screws at the liquid outlet regulating valve LV2202 were blocked. It was initially determined that the bolts at the flange connecting the gas distributor in the stripping tower and the carbon dioxide gas pipeline were broken, and the gas distributor had fallen off. It is recommended that you bolt the gas distributor at the bottom of the stripper and then perform full welding. This is how many internal parts are connected now.
The main reason why the distributor falls off is: 1. During operation, the gas volume control is unstable. During the initial startup, temperature rise, passivation and pressure increase, the operating methods were not followed. The air intake volume was too large, or the pressure was too high, causing the distributor connecting bolts to loosen due to impact or fatigue fracture. 2. The internal parts of the equipment are not securely connected during installation. It is recommended that during operation, especially when driving, attention should be paid to the boost speed and air volume to ensure that the distributor is not stressed too hard.
The CO2 distributor at the lower part of our stripping tower is also connected by bolts, and no problem of falling off has been found in recent years. Regarding the situation mentioned by the poster, is it because the bolt material is improperly used, causing the bolts to become corroded and fall off? However, the poster can confirm by checking the screw found at the liquid outlet regulating valve LV2202.
The connecting bolts fell off, on the one hand, because the gas distributor vibrated too much during use, and on the other hand, the bolts were not tightened enough. Solution: 1. In addition to being connected to the air inlet flange, the gas distributor should also be equipped with a support seat fixed on the tower body to strengthen its fixing effect. 2. All connecting bolts use double-headed bolts, and each end is equipped with double nuts and washers.
The bolts show no signs of corrosion and the bolt threads are intact.
There seems to be something wrong with Nanjing Chemical Machinery. The gas distributor should be welded so that it will not fall off easily. :)

Did you spot weld the nut? We generally spot-weld the internal nuts of the high-pressure system, but after a cycle of operation, they still fall off in some places, mainly in the synthesis tower. The distributor of our stripper is fully welded and remade from gold.

The head was not opened during the overhaul. The outlet liquid temperature of the stripping tower is normal and the stripping efficiency is slightly reduced.
