One of the units in our factory is used for handling hydrochloric acid. The steel structure on each floor features fiberglass grating panels; they are quite elastic when stepped on. Of course, they are highly corrosive, and the ultraviolet radiation here is very strong; I’m worried that long-term use might result in insufficient strength, leading to breaks and safety accidents. Please help me out! :handshake
Generally, there are no issues; FRP that is resistant to ultraviolet rays will do
The key is to determine whether ultraviolet rays have a destructive effect on it; if the damage is significant, it is recommended to use a different material or add additives to prevent such damage
Order from the manufacturer; just request that an ultraviolet absorber be added to the resin
The high elasticity of fiberglass grilles is due to insufficient rigidity in the grille you have chosen, or in other words, you selected a grille with too low a level of rigidity. If ultraviolet radiation is intense, it will accelerate the aging of the fiberglass; adding UV-resistant agents to the resin used in grille production can help mitigate this issue.
If it has low elasticity, it means there is a problem with the material used; the thickness is not sufficient. It would be better to use fiberglass with a greater thickness. There definitely shouldn’t be any issues, and adding UV-resistant additives will improve things.
What does it mean that the ultraviolet radiation is strong? I think the main issue is that the grid plates you chose were a bit too thin initially
