We used an infrared thermometer for the measurement; I’ve heard that it can also be determined through a comprehensive analysis of the instrument’s temperature. How do you people do it?
Hot spots are caused by the peeling or loosening of the lining; if they are far away from the thermocouple, this cannot be detected. Even when they are close, it is not possible to determine the exact location of the hot spot or its maximum temperature
We also use infrared thermometers.
Most of the time, we check with the lights turned off; that is, we work in complete darkness and examine everything carefully. Sometimes this approach yields good results – if there are problems with the lining, red colors can be seen, while the paint applied on the outside of the system changes color as well; any areas with hot spots will turn black.
