I have a rather silly question: does “500% reflux” mean the same as a reflux ratio of 5:1? :L
500% is just 5; 5:1 is still equal to 5.

In distillation operations, the ratio of the reflux flow rate L returning to the tower from the top of the distillation column to the product flow rate D at the tower top is given by R = L/D. It is called the reflux ratio. Since it is a ratio, it cannot be a percentage!
A distillation column has not only a reflux ratio but also a reflux index.

It can be said to be correct; the reflux ratio R = L/D (that is, the amount of reflux/the amount flowing out), is usually expressed as an integer, but according to the formula, your version is also correct
