Why are there two holes made at the joints of the vertical beams in the structures of chemical plants? Is it to reduce stress concentration?
There were no plate clamps during lifting, so two holes were made to pass the steel wire rope through.
The process measures adopted in factory processing are intended to prevent weld intersections and stress concentration. Additionally, it also facilitates full penetration
