What is a core-insulated foam PVC drainage pipe? What are the features? What are the performance features? What is its use?
Core-insulated foamed PVC drainage pipes are first made by melting and extruding polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic with a foaming agent; the foaming agent decomposes rapidly within the PVC plastic, creating numerous tiny pores. A layer of molten PVC plastic is then applied to the surface of these foamed PVC pipes. This results in a pipe that has been formed through a second extrusion process – with a foamed layer inside and a solid protective layer on the outside. Such foamed pipes can be either soft or hard, and they are widely used in applications requiring insulation, heat retention, and soundproofing, such as cold storage facilities and water supply and drainage systems in hotels. The foamed layer can be made from other plastics such as PE or PP, or it can also be produced by melting the same type of plastic.
