Molten metal scoops are generally made of graphite, but it seems to have a short lifespan – they need to be replaced every month. Could anyone suggest a better material? Thank you. :handshake
Changing it once a month in January is definitely due to an unreasonable structural design. We use graphite spoons that can last around a year; previously their service life was also 2-3 years. After improvements made by the company’s technical center, while the material remains unchanged, the optimized structure allows the spoons to last up to a year
I’d like to ask, how do you optimize your graphite scoops?
An iron-clad graphite spoon is used for external use (the part that comes into contact with the zinc solution is not covered), but the position of the iron mold must take into account the torque generated by the supporting forces; otherwise, it is prone to breaking!
