Why aren’t check valves installed on each branch of the plant’s low-pressure flare line? During the purging of the flare main pipe, each branch acts as a dead end
Each branch pipe is equipped with a isolation valve, and its pressure is generally higher than that of the main low-pressure gas pipeline. During cleaning, each branch pipe can clean the main pipe simultaneously, with the lowest point of the main pipe being vented.
What was said on the second floor is correct; during purging, the main pipeline can be used for purging as well, with each branch line being emptied
The pressure in the torch line is too low; sometimes this prevents the check valve from operating, and it also makes it impossible to ensure that the check valve remains in good working condition at all times.
