Yesterday at work, I encountered a new problem: the inlet of the shielded pump was blocked, preventing pressure from being built up. I wonder if any expert can explain what the reason is and how to deal with it?

If it has been working fine before, then check whether the filter is clogged; this is the most common cause. Please check again whether the pointer of the shielded pump has reached the red zone; it’s also possible that the pump has been damaged due to emptying.

As mentioned by those before, check the filter first. If it is indeed due to a clogged filter, please disassemble it to check the bearings. (Whether you use graphite bearings or SIC bearings, operate them without liquid. They will all wear out severely. When operating without liquid supply, graphite bearings can actually last longer. ) 5 Lower the impeller by hand. (Of course, if the impeller does not rotate, the protection device will activate.) Here, just in case): 6 Open the motor wiring cover and check the motor. 7 Ensure there is no cavitation, the filter screen is not clogged, and the impeller rotates properly. Motor performance is OK. Steering is correct. Then please check the pipes.
Can’t reach the target volume? The pump body of a shielded pump is essentially a centrifugal pump; therefore, investigating the issues by considering the characteristics of centrifugal pumps will definitely lead to the right solution.
Please, I read the original poster’s question over and over again but still didn’t understand it! Does that mean the shielded pump cannot build pressure? Please take a look at it yourself after posting! Based on my experience, first determine whether the pump’s liquid intake volume is sufficient and whether there are any blockages in the pipelines or filters.
