Other Datang Group and Guodian Group also plan to use Lucci gasification technology. They are mainly used to synthesize fertilizers, produce city gas and natural gas, and manufacture methanol. The main benefits of using Lurgi gasifier for coal gasification are that the produced gas is highly efficient, has high methane content, is suitable for city gas use, and has a small total equipment investment.

The advantage is: 1 Pressurized operation, the carbon conversion rate is as high as about 90%, the resulting gas has high calorific value and high gasification intensity ； 2. Domestic equipment is prone to failure, especially coal lock valves and ash lock valves with high failure rates. ； 3. Crude gas contains high methane content. When producing synthetic ammonia, it needs to be converted into effective gases CO and H2, which increases investment and consumption. ； 4. There is a large amount of tar, phenol, light oil, ammonia and cyanide-containing wastewater. The water treatment process is complex and it is difficult to meet environmental protection standards for discharge. ； 5. As the gas temperature decreases, the naphthalene component in the raw gas will crystallize and precipitate in the heat exchanger, causing the system resistance to increase and affecting the operation. ； 6. Carbon black clogging and pollution problems caused by carbon monoxide disproportionation reaction. There are two special streams in the Lurgi process - carbon monoxide-rich tail gas and methane-rich methane fraction. Both of these mixed gases contain carbon monoxide and need to be heated to above 200°C. The operation found that a carbon evolution reaction occurred in the relevant heat exchanger. The generated carbon black not only caused blockage and damage to the heat exchanger, but also moved backward with the gas, posing a threat to the safe and stable operation of downstream devices. ； 7.
