Why do you become a moderator? This determines your style and approach

Some people do it for honor, some for passion, while others enjoy debating, managing, and so on. I’m a casual person. I hope everyone will give their best effort and focus; therefore, some quantitative methods might not suit my approach. I wonder whether everyone thinks strict quantitative management is better or giving one’s best effort is preferable? Perhaps many seniors have better suggestions. After all, everyone has their own motives and ways of doing things. In my opinion, moderators also have an important responsibility to build strength for this forum – something beyond mere management, such as charisma. Just as I am moved by them, that’s why I became a moderator. This is the declaration I posted in the discussion area when I was an official moderator:Through my experience as an official moderator, I’ve met many ordinary yet great people. They don’t have any special titles; they’re just older, always helping those in need selflessly, often working late in the forum. (I sometimes give extra points for their replies in the middle of the night.) Indeed, being a moderator is tough, but there are rewards—power, wealth, and so on. People who come to this forum have different backgrounds and purposes. They come and go, but there are always those who stay anonymously; they are the soul of Haichuan. It is they who make this rigorous forum touching. It is they who moved me and made me fall in love with this place. Whether as a moderator or just an ordinary member, I’m willing to fight alongside them to fill this virtual space with emotion.
Let the official moderators create an era full of passion, and let us not be confused by the mundane world. Let all members of Haichuan jointly write an eternal chapter!

It’s clear that the original poster is a passionate person; HaiChuan will never forget the contributions of each individual. History is in the past, and we should build on the achievements of those who came before us in order to look toward a brighter future. There are many reasons for serving as a moderator, as the original poster said, but the goal remains the same. As the old saying goes, we come from all over the world, but we’re here for the same purpose. This is dedicated to those who work silently, whether they have left or continue to fight. Whether they are moderators or regular members, I learn from you all. Let’s ignore the hustle and bustle of the world and be neighbors in HaiChuan; let’s work hard late into the night not for fame, share resources generously, and engage in frequent technical exchanges. Every post is the result of hard work, and every word carries emotion.
This poem is really well written! I am honored to join this team, for a brighter future for Haichuan, and for the things I love. Work hard! Forget the hustle and bustle of the world; we are neighbors in this sea of knowledge. Working late into the night by the light of a lamp, we do so not for fame. We share resources generously and engage in frequent exchanges of skills. Every effort put in is hard-won, and every word written stems from sincerity.
I’m extremely grateful to have discovered HaiChuan; I regret that I found it a bit late. It’s an honor for me to be part of the management team, as I grow alongside HaiChuan. Let’s work together to develop HaiChuan and achieve personal success!
I’m just a fleeting visitor to this forum; I’m not sure whether to stay or go. With nothing better to do, contributing a small effort to this section – adding a piece or two of material – is also a good thing. It’s a simple action that can be beneficial to others; why not do it?
I actually have no concept of management. I just really like this way of communicating through forums – it gives me the opportunity to reply to posts and help everyone. Take another look at the amazing posts and learn* learn*. It would be great to be able to meet some high-level professionals in the industry, exchange ideas with them, and receive some help.
