I have a heat exchanger here whose heat exchange tubes are made of 09Cr2AlMoRe material. What is the pronunciation of Re, and what does it represent? I remember that Re stands for a rare element; some say it is the metal rhenium.

Represented by rhenium, and often referred to as rare earths, 09Cr2AlMoRE is a special steel designed to resist wet H2S corrosion. It is a new type of steel developed by utilizing the low-alloying effect of corrosion-resistant elements such as Cr, Al, and Mo, as well as the micro-alloying effect of rare earths in steel; it exhibits excellent resistance to stress corrosion and uniform corrosion in hydrogen sulfide-containing environments.
