It’s not a chemical manufacturing enterprise, but it needs to use hazardous materials such as paint, which fall under Category A. According to the fire protection regulations for building design, the safety distance between such Category A warehouses and surrounding areas should be at least 20 meters. Are there any other guidelines that can be referred to? Many companies face difficulties in layout planning due to this issue.
Generally speaking, with the exception of thinners and some varnishes, other paints have relatively high flash points. It is recommended to test the flash point first to determine whether it falls within Category B. According to regulatory requirements, the distance between Category A factories should be 12 meters. If the outer wall of the higher of two adjacent factories serves as a fire wall, then there is no limit on the fire separation distance; however, the distance between Category A factories should not be less than 4.0 meters.
