Why does the smart transmitter of the steam orifice flow meter display a negative value? (The steam condensation tank is above the orifice flow meter)
There are two possibilities: First, the transmitter is broken ； Second, the condensate in the positive and negative pressure guide tubes is unbalanced and the condensate in the positive pressure guide tube is much less than that in the negative pressure guide tube. The possible reason is that the meter is turned on before the condensate is filled with the pressure guide tube. The consequences include distortion of the indication and even scalding of the transmitter membrane box.
Is it wrong to design the condensation tank above the orifice plate, or can it be used this way? Thank you everyone for your enlightenment
I think the condensation tank can be used above the transmitter. The key is to adjust the zero point after the water level in the condensation tank remains unchanged after the transmitter is put into use! If the water level in the condensation tank is different, it will cause a big error!
