The components in crude methanol are very complex. We don’t know the specific substances and their contents, so it is difficult to determine the tower height and feed position through calculation.； However, a book on methanol distillation says that the number of theoretical plates in the pre-column and main column is about 60 and 85 respectively. The feed position is in the upper part of the pre-column and in the middle and lower part of the main column (plates 17-36). ； Is such a rough method feasible? If not, what should be done?
