For steam pressure gauges, ordinary glass tube or spring-type types are sufficient; the main thing to pay attention to is the temperature range of use. For measuring steam pressure, it is best to use gauges with silver-welded fixed and free ends, as they are resistant to high temperatures. Generally, spring tubes for medium and low pressures are welded, usually by soldering; they cannot withstand high temperatures and are prone to leakage. Pressure gauges used to measure steam are generally installed with a condensation coil, and there is no vibration in the steam pipes either; therefore, a regular gauge is sufficient. Generally, steam fluctuations are not significant, so it isn’t necessary to install needle valves; moreover, the presence of a condensation tube doesn’t necessarily require copper gaskets
