How should the head be selected when the medium being transported is different from water? For example, when transporting water, a head of 40 m is sufficient; nothing else needs to change. If the density of the medium being transported is 1200 kg/m3, what should the head be?
If the inlet and outlet pressures remain unchanged, the head required at a density of 1200 is 40/1.2=33.3 meters
I agree with the opinion from the second floor; it would be best if the original poster provided the data to the manufacturer, so that a professional team can determine the exact head required
According to what’s on the second floor, isn’t it true that the higher the density of the medium, the lower the head pressure required of the pump?
I remember that the head change with density remains constant, while the head increases as viscosity rises. So the head should be the same as that in hydraulic separation.
I agree with the second floor’s approach, provided that the height difference between the pump’s inlet and outlet, as well as the kinetic energy at these points, can be ignored in the calculations
