Colleagues, there are currently 5,000 cubic meter carbon pentane spheres – what insulation material would be suitable? I would appreciate your advice.
Common insulation materials use different matrix materials depending on the operating temperature. Ceramic fiber mats are generally used in high-temperature and ultra-high-temperature applications. Asbestos products also possess excellent heat resistance, but due to environmental protection and occupational health considerations, they are rarely used alone in recent years, usually serving as an additive component in high-temperature insulation materials. Generally, for high temperatures, composite silicates or materials such as rock wool and glass fiber are used.

The pressure in the C5 sphere tank is not high, so ordinary silver paint is sufficient. If it’s acrylic, propane, or something similar, it’s recommended to use cool thermal insulation adhesive; the one we use in our company works very well.
Ordinary C5 storage tanks do not require any special insulation materials; aluminum silicate or rock wool is sufficient!
