I only know that medical alcohol is 75%, and it should be by volume, right? I want to know whether medical alcohol can be prepared directly using anhydrous alcohol; in other words, can I use laboratory-grade anhydrous alcohol to create 75% concentration alcohol, or use laboratory-grade 95% alcohol to make 75% concentration alcohol for use as medical alcohol?
So it can be used to make medical alcohol? Isn’t that too casual? I think there should be requirements as well for other toxic substances.
One thing is for sure: the control standards for anhydrous ethanol are definitely stricter than those for medical alcohol!

Edible alcohol, so to speak, is produced through brewing; distillation technology can be used for this purpose. There are books on wine manufacturing and testing in the pinned post; take a look. Industrial alcohol is used in the laboratory, and the production process is different.

I agree with the view above; many food and pharmaceutical products do not require high purity, but rather have strict requirements regarding trace harmful substances. Medical alcohol has a concentration of 75%; to prepare it using 95% medical alcohol (note: not industrial alcohol), the following formula can be used: 0.75*Volume A = 0.95*Volume B. Once the volume of Volume A required for preparation is determined, the amount of raw alcohol needed, That is, Volume B, can be calculated. The amount of sterile distilled water to be added is Volume A minus Volume B. When diluting alcohol, its volume is slightly less than the calculated value, but this effect is minimal.
