Article 20 of Order No. 8 of the China Meteorological Administration, the \"Measures for Lightning Protection and Disaster Reduction,\" establishes a qualification certification system for entities engaged in lightning protection testing. The meteorological authorities of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government are responsible for approving the qualifications of lightning protection testing agencies within their respective administrative areas. Specific measures shall be formulated separately by the meteorological authorities of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government.
Every city should have a lightning protection center where such tests are carried out. Measure the resistance, charge money – a few dozen yuan per measurement.
Lightning protection and anti-static measures are different concepts. For lightning protection, it is necessary to have it inspected by the local meteorological bureau for it to be effective, while there are no such regulations for checking anti-static measures.
