Electric heating elements are now fairly mature in terms of technology, but they are mainly imported (joint-venture) products. Last year, I came into contact with a company in China based in Jiangyin called Hui Long; they offer custom manufacturing of special shapes as well as customization according to the requirements of industrial pipelines. In fact, for electric heating, the key is to calculate the load accurately and to design and install it properly. The other important aspects are: first, the quality of the heating cable; second, the effectiveness of the temperature control system; and third, the quality of the insulation layer.
