The communication cards for our S7-300 units often break down. Have anyone else had similar experiences? Let’s talk about our experiences
Siemens card components are quite fragile and can get damaged with even the slightest carelessness. It is important to pay attention to the following points: 1. Ensure a stable power supply； 2. Ensure proper system grounding ； 3. Isolate the IO channels from the field and implement lightning protection measures ； 4. Ensure good heat dissipation of the cabinet.
That’s incorrect; the hardware of control systems is generally not prone to damage. It breaks down often; check the power supply of the card!

Siemens products are really not good; we still use Yokogawa’s DCS systems. Our factory has been using them for 10 years now, and they’ve never broken down.
