Under what conditions should the amount of air supplied be increased or decreased? Our plant’s desorption rate is only 92%
In the roasting process in a fluidized bed furnace, if roasting is carried out under conditions of low oxygen levels and there is no secondary air in the furnace, the oxygen content in the flue gas exiting the reactor will be reduced, which significantly affects the conversion rate. In such cases, increasing the amount of air supplied to the desorption tower can help improve the conversion efficiency; this is one possible solution. These are my personal opinions; please feel free to correct me.
Is it an SO2 desorption tower for dry acid?
It should be determined based on the actual conditions; if the reaction temperature is high during conversion, it indicates a high concentration of SO2 gas, and therefore the amount of air used for desorption should be increased.
It is generally used to remove SO2 gas from the acid after the scrubber in dilute acid closed-loop systems.
The purpose of the desorption tower is to desorb sulfur dioxide dissolved in the dilute acid within the closed dilute acid purification process before it is discharged, thereby improving the purification efficiency of sulfur dioxide. Here, the desorption tower is installed between the foam tower and the Venturi tube. Generally, the air intake volume of the desorption tower is adjusted based on the oxygen-to-sulfur ratio in the flue gas, but practical operation requires considerable experience.
