How should the term “flange bearing surfaces” be translated in a more professional manner?
Well, it’s probably the flange area, the place where nuts need to be tightened – is that the supporting surface?
Bearing surface: Definition in mechanical engineering – the surface that bears load or provides support. The flange bearing surfaces refer to the surfaces on the flange that serve as supports for bolts; these surfaces should be parallel to the flange face within 1 degree. Any curvature or unevenness required to ensure parallelism between the flange face and the nut bearing surface on the back side of the flange must not reduce the thickness of the flange.
