Solution for valve sticking of syngas flow control valve at the outlet of the gasification scrubber tower
Sticking generally does not occur; this type of valve usually uses a triple-eccentric butterfly valve. It was designed to be leak-free, but internal leakage was detected after use for some time. This is mainly due to the frequent opening and closing of this valve, which causes wear on the sealing ring.
If it can be confirmed that the valve is stuck, the control valve must be disassembled to check for any foreign objects inside the valve seat
