As the title suggests, what does “color-forming component” mean? What is it?
Color former can be understood as “color-forming agent””
Does it mean “paint components”?
Found for reference: Color-forming agent – a substance that contributes to color formation; Color-forming component – an organic compound that, after the photosensitive material is exposed, reacts with the oxidants in the developer during the development process to produce colored dyes, thereby creating a colored image. From a structural perspective, colorants can be divided into phenols that form indeno-aniline dyes and reactive methylene compounds that produce methimine dyes ; Based on solubility, they can be divided into water-soluble and oil-soluble ; Based on their chemical equivalent, they can be classified as di-equivalent, tetra-equivalent, and poly-equivalent ; Based on their function, they can be divided into main colorants and functional colorants. Used for producing color film, color film rolls, color photo paper, color aerial film, etc.
It would be better if the original poster also included the context; otherwise, people will have many different opinions, and it won’t be clear which one you’re looking for.:)
If it is in the analysis context, it is a color developer

color former: coloring agent, color-developing agent
color former: color-developing agent
